Effective moisture management for profitable feed milling

Abstract

Producing high-quality feed while striving for highest profitability is no new strategy to feed millers. It is, however, easier said than done considering many factors affecting feed process efficiency with its risks from raw material to final feed quality. Trouw Nutrition, the animal health division of Nutreco, is closely collaborating with raw material producers, feed millers and animal producers to ensure stable, high quality feeds, while aiming for increased efficiency through moisture management and feed process energy reduction at the feed mill.
