Belarus is increasing its milk production volumes, with output expected to reach up to 11.5 million tonnes by 2035.

This was stated by Head of the Main Directorate for Intensification of Livestock and Fisheries at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Belarus, Natalia Sonich, as reported by BelTA, a partner of TV BRICS.

"In 2025, the country produced nearly 9.2 million tonnes of milk overall. These are very strong results. According to our strategy, the target for this year is 9.285 million tonnes, 10.5 million tonnes by 2030, and 11.5 million tonnes by 2035," Sonich said.

According to her, there are currently around 1,700 commercial dairy complexes in the country, accounting for approximately 77–80% of total milk production. This year and next, livestock will be transitioned to modern housing conditions.
